The 14th issue of Magic Whistle won’t even come out for another couple months and I’ve already started work on the 15th issue. Here are thumbnails for a story.
Now that I look at it I should lose the shadow in the third panel on the last page so it’s not mistaken for the menstrual blood later on in the page. What say you?

Its simply wonderful to see your work in its beginning stages while you’re developing the idea.
So– you ink over regular pencil, none of that fancy blue pencil stuff?
I think you should lose the shadow in the third panel on the last page so its not mistaken for menstrual blood, yeah. But that’s just my opinion.
Do you ink over these existing inks again with a sharpie? That’s what I thought you did.
Well, that’s all I have to say for now, but, I am a huge fan of your art, your writing, your work in general.

It didn’t all show up scanned, but you can see blue pencils very lightly in some panels. I do all the layering like this to block everything out on typing paper, then do the final drawing on bristol twice the size it will be printed. I use fancy blue pencil for the finished art, then ink it with microns, which are kind of a combination of rapidographs and markers but without the inconvenience of either. Though it’s taboo among cartoonists, I use a sharpie for solid blacks, and haven’t had any problems.
